Building owners are responsible for service and maintenance of their Public Safety BDA/ERCES systems. This includes annual inspections as well as re-certifications of the coverage every 5 years. BDA/ERCES maintenance and annual inspections are important to ensure the coverage has not degraded and to ensure compliance with FCC rules and regulations. Building owners are responsible for system updates such as frequency changes within the local Public Safety Personal.

Our maintenance agreements include:

  • Inspection and maintenance of all passive equipment.

  • Antenna inspection and cleaning for optimal signal transmission.

  • Cable sweeping to ensure they have proper VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio). This is an essential part of your systems performance.

Many fire departments are upgrading their radios and changing the frequencies they communicate on. Part of our service, we check and correlate to ensure no frequency changes were made.

  • We coordinate all testing with the local AHJ, Fire companies, and Police departments.

  • We test using certified calibrated Anritsu Cable and Antenna Analyzer and PCTEL IBFlex technologies.
